Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of SSG Amy Krueger. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your daughter was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Amy.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

~ FINAL MISSION REPORT ~ Phase3 ~ The day began with the motorcycle escort from the funeral home to Kiel H.S. 14 PGR's were present. We drove the short distance to the school under military escort. The military honor guard escorted Amy into the school & we all paid our silent respects to her thereafter. Flagline began at 1315 hrs with 47 PGR's standing the line till 1900 hrs. MANY people came. The weather was mild by Wisconsin standards this time of year. At approx. 1930 hrs we escorted her back to the funeral home that evening with about 20 PGR bikes. There was a slight breeze as we stood in the dark around the portico where the hearse parked. We stood outside till the Army honor guard returned. They stood with us in silence for awhile and then I read a poem to all in closing. It was a VERY special time for us all. It always is..... PHASE 4 ~ The final morning for our duty began at 0730 hrs at the funeral home for escort again back to the school. We had 12 PGR bikes lead the way back to Amy's funeral service with the Kiel P.D. squad in front. She was then brought into the school with all of us standing in silent respect. Today I had approx. 70 PGR's stand the flagline. We had 2 lines. One in the back of the school where the general public entered. And one in front for the family/military/dignitaries. Flagline ran from approx. 0915 hrs till 1300 hrs. The number of mourners increased dramatically today. There were also about 40 soldiers on the grounds from various medical units. (She was an Army medic) The funeral ran until about 1530 hrs. Patriot Guard provided motorcycle escort with 59 bikes to the cemetery. Weather was again mild. No rain, MANY people from the community lined the procession route. Moms, dads, kids, grandparents. I saw one family with their golden retriever sitting next to them. I think he had a patriotic bandana around his neck. WE arrived at the cemetery. It was quite small & was located on a hill. PGR's parked their bikes in the road & quickly entered the cemetery to form the "circle of comfort". The circle was huge. Some were on top of the hill & others were at the bottom. As the ceremony unfolded, the daylight was fading. Military honors were rendered by the rifle team & bugler. A young bagpiper played Amazing Grace with great skill. It was extremely sad, yet so honorable... Such a tragic loss. Such a senseless act of violence. A fine young woman struck down at such an early age. She had so much more to contribute. But now she is gone from us. She rests with all the other angels. May God's blessing be with her. We will NOT forget you, Amy Krueger. You are our HERO.... I would like to take a moment to say a special thank you to the Patriot Guard riders of Wisconsin who have been such a strong part of the tributes paid to our fallen soldier, SSgt. Amy Krueger this week.

Having the Patriot guard present at her candlelight vigil, at her return via motorcade to the community and at her funeral was an awesome and awe-inspiring touch to a very moving sequence of events in our community.

As a newspaper owner in a small town, I can't begin to tell you how much the presence of these humble patriotic servants meant to all of us in this small WI community.

I would encourage you to find coverage on our website at iwantthenews.com
I would be happy to make available any of our photos that we took of the proceedings.
Additionally, I would gladly provide your organization with a DVD.

The cost has already been paid. I am happy to forward anything you would like out of respect to SSgt. Krueger.

Please pass this along to the appropriate parties, and please let everyone involved know that Kiel, WI deeply appreciates your support for SSgt. Krueger.

Sincerely,
Mike

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of SSG Amy Krueger, U.S. Army / Active Duty. Your service and sacrifices will not be forgotten. Thank you for protecting the freedom of our country. You will always be remembered as a "TRUE AMERICAN HERO". Rest easy, Soldier.

To those I love and to those who loved me:
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be thankful for our beautiful years.

I gave to you my love you can only guess,
How much you gave to me in happiness,
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it's time I traveled alone.

So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a time that we must part
So, bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
All my love around you soft and clear
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say,
"Welcome Home"

Thank you is just not enough; remember that only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you; Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One chose to die for your soul, the other for your freedom!
