Our spouses, significant others or close friends who ride with us will need to send in an individual waiver and get on a volunteer list. They will also get a wrist band for the day - otherwise, it will cost them an admission price to get past the gate if they wish to go inside the Expo Center , check out the mid-way or look at the exhibits, etc. The wrist bands will be at the veterans tent at the bottom of the ramp - will have a "Welcome Veterans" banner displayed for identification. The waiver can be found at the fair web site williamsoncountyfair.org. There is an address at the web site. I will need a close approximate number of wrist bands that I will need to have waiting for any non-veteran Riders when they get there. The vets will get one of our vet ribbons to pin on their jackets.
1} Escorting 2 buses from Ft. Campbell to the Williamson County Fair in Franklin.
2} Assist in staffing the Veterans Tent at the entrance to the fair.
3} Assist in reloading the families on the buses and escorting back to Ft. Campbell.
Williamson County Fair is providing 2 buses to transport the families of deployed service personnel from Ft. Campbell to the fair where they will be guests of the fair. We have been asked to assist in this endeavor. Also, to assist the veterans as they obtain wrist bands which allows admittance to the fair and the activities.
Yes, we will receive the wrist bands which will allow us to these activities. If your spouse or guest is NOT a veteran, they can make a request to the fair for these bands.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has been gracious in providing a Trooper to escort the
buses both from Ft. Campbell to the fair, but also to assist in returning the busses to
Clarksville.
We will have local staging Sat. morning to get together for the ride to Clarksville.
Join us at any of these or jump in anywhere. For those in the Clarksville area,
just join us at Gate 7 at Ft. Campbell at 0900.
Local staging will be:
1} Target Store, Springhill at Saturn Pkwy and US 31 at 0600. KSU 0615.
2} Cracker Barrel, Harding & I-65 at 0700, KSU 0715.
3} Shell Station on left at exit 40 on I-24 0745, KSU 0800.
