On July 30, 2008 the Los Angeles County Coroner will be transporting four (4) Veterans, American Heroes all, to the Riverside National Cemetery for burial. The Veterans are: John Cameron Wallen age 60 U.S. Army 3/67 to 6/69 Kenneth Earl Brew age 48 U.S. Army 10/1/80 to 9/15/89 Marion Neal Newman age 82 U.S. Navy 9/9/43 to 11/30/46 William Isiah Lacy age 75 U.S. Navy 10/27/52 to 10/2/56 The PGR will be there to hold a service with full Military Honors for these veterans at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518 Time Table: 0800 gathering behind the RNC Amin Building 0830 Meeting 0845 KSU for service shelter "F" 0900 Service May the souls of these veterans rest in honored peace. Final Inspection
The soldiers stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. They hoped their shoes were shining. Just as brightly as their brass. "Step forward now,soldiers. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The soldiers squared their shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess we ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. we've had to work most Sundays, And at times our talk was tough. And sometimes we've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, we never took a penny, That wasn't ours to keep.... Though we worked a lot of overtime. When the bills just got too steep. But we never passed a cry for help, Though at times we shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive us, we've wept unmanly tears. we know we don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted us around, Except to calm their fears.
