Dear First Sgt. Blaxton:
On behalf of my entire family, I would like to thank you for your service to our great country. You bravely stood against an evil and determined enemy to protect the freedom and security all Americans enjoy. Also, you have sacrificed much to try to give the Iraqi people a better life. We are lucky that there are men such as you in this world. It will be an honor to help plan this mission with the Daman's and Capt. Morgan to return you home to your family in Lansing. I would like to especially thank Mr. Walt Fricke of the "Veterans Airlift Command" for his support in making the trip home bearable. Christopher and Family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Respectfully,

Thank You Sgt. First Class Christopher Blaxton! It will be an honor to escort you on your way home. We will not forget the sacrifices you have made. My two sons asked me what I wanted to do on Father's Day and I told them that we are going to help an American Hero go home. You may not think of yourself as a hero, but you became one the day you put on the uniform and raised your right hand and swore to protect and defend the rest of us.

A Prayer for Our Soldiers' Families

Heavenly Father, we pray for the safe return home of our soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. We ask that you give our military commanders and political leaders wisdom and courage to fulfill their daunting responsibility. Lord, we implore you to please remember the families of these brave men and women. Bless the wives, parents, children and siblings of our fighting forces and give them solace and comfort. If it be your will, bring their loved ones home swiftly, sound in mind and body.

We pray these things in the name of the Son, the Father and the Holy Ghost,

Amen
