A Prayer for Our Soldiers' Families
Heavenly Father, we pray for the safe return home of our soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. We ask that you give our military commanders and political leaders wisdom and courage to fulfill their daunting responsibility. Lord, we implore you to please remember the families of these brave men and women. Bless the wives, parents, children and siblings of our fighting forces and give them solace and comfort. If it be your will, bring their loved ones home swiftly, sound in mind and body.
We pray these things in the name of the Son, the Father and the Holy Ghost,
Amen |

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Russell S. Shingleton, U.S. Navy Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Russell. Going home, going home, I'm just going home. Quiet-like, slip away- I'll be going home. It's not far, just close by; Jesus is the Door; Work all done, laid aside, Fear and grief no more. Friends are there, waiting now. He is waiting, too. See His smile! See His hand! He will lead me through.
Morning Star lights the way; Restless dream all done; Shadows gone, break of day, Life has just begun. Every tear wiped away, Pain and sickness gone; Wide awake there with Him! Peace goes on and on! Going home, going home, I'll be going home. See the Light! See the Sun! I'm just going home.

My condolences to the family and friends of U.S. Navy veteran Russell S. Shingleton. Rest easy brother, your watch is over.
- Eternal Father, strong to save,
- Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
- Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
- Its own appointed limits keep;
- Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
- For those in peril on the sea!
- O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
- And hushed their raging at Thy word,
- Who walked'st on the foaming deep,
- And calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
- Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
- For those in peril on the sea!
- Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
- Upon the chaos dark and rude,
- And bid its angry tumult cease,
- And give, for wild confusion, peace;
- Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
- For those in peril on the sea!
- O Trinity of love and power!
- Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
- From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
- Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
- Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
- Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.
