As an Army Vietnam era veteran I salute you Sgt Guerrero and thank you for defending our country in a land so far away so many years ago. Descansa en paz hermano y que Dios te bendiga y te tenga a Su lado. Rest in peace my brother and welcome home. Vaya con Dios. I will be standing in spirit in memory of my nephew Joseph Mathew Cordova (USMC) the 400 New Mexico Vietnam Veterans who gave their all in the jungles of Vietnam and the 31 brave soldiers from New Mexico who have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. Freedom is not free. The price is written on The Wall and on countless headstones all across this great Nation of ours and in several foreign countries. May God bless them all and may they never be forgotten!

A Prayer for Our Soldiers' Families

Heavenly Father, we pray for the safe return home of our soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. We ask that you give our military commanders and political leaders wisdom and courage to fulfill their daunting responsibility. Lord, we implore you to please remember the families of these brave men and women. Bless the wives, parents, children and siblings of our fighting forces and give them solace and comfort. If it be your will, bring their loved ones home swiftly, sound in mind and body.

We pray these things in the name of the Son, the Father and the Holy Ghost,

Amen
