Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Spc. Wayne M. Geiger. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Wayne.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

No words of mine will diminish the loss suffered by the family of Spc Geiger. I wish they had that power, but they don't.  I can only hope to assure them that not only will I fondly remember the spirit in which he served his country, but also the town he came from. For I once lived there too.

My formative summers were spent with grandparents in this small town. The news of this loss hits as if Wayne were a member of my own family. The town will come together to lshare in the depth of your loss and I will be with them in spirit. There are nearly 120 thousand of us, across this nation, willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with Lone Pine sharing the grief.

Wayne - rest easy, we have the watch.
