Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Spc. Micheal D. Brown. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Michael.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

To the family and friends of Michael, my you find some comfort in knowing that the thoughts and prayers of countless thousands are with you. To Michael, thank you for your unselfish service and ultimate sacrifice for our great nation. It will not be forgotten. Spc. Standing in memory of Army Pfc. Jeremy Drexler. My friend. My hero. Killed by an IED in Baghdad, Iraq, May 2, 2004. Keep his two brothers in your prayers. Naval Petty Officer 2nd Class, Timothy Drexler, and Marine Sergeant Kenny Drexler.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Excerpts from a letter from President Lincoln to Mrs. Lydia Bixby of Massachusetts in 1864.
