==================================================================

The escort mission for Sgt.  Ryan J. Baum has been tentatively re-scheduled on Friday, 01 Jun 07. I should receive a call from the CAO tomorrow letting us know the time and which carrier will be used. If a passenger airline is used, staging will be at the Fire Station at DIA as we have used before. There is also the possibility of a private carrier being used, which would completely change where we would stage. As soon as I have any information, I will call Kristen and she will post it for me.

This will be an escort mission from Denver International Airport to Parker Funeral Home Inc at 10325 S. Park Glenn Way, Parker, CO, 80138. As of right now, there is not a police escort set up for this mission. We, the PGR, are the escort. We do not have the right to stop traffic in any fashion without a police escort, so please do not attempt to do so. There may not be an RC at this mission, and I will definitely not be able to attend. We also do not know what route they will take to the Funeral Home. Hopefully when I get the call, all questions will be answered, but there is the chance that this mission will simply be following the vehicle that carries Sgt. Baum to Parker.

Another Day, Another Battle, Another Defender has bravely given their hopes, their dreams, their lives for us.

Sgt. Baum, you have given far more than I have and you have sacrificed much more than I have. In your Brave stand you have given everything that you have and that you are! I THANK YOU!! I THANK YOUR FAMILY!!

Today as the dawn turned to dusk, the bugle sounded, and the flag was lowered to honor your sacrifice!
I found my right hand raisiing to meet the corner of my brow and I stood for several moments, ever so quietly, thanking you with all that I had to offer at that one single moment in time...I SALUTED YOU! I REMEMBERED YOU!
