Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sgt. Chad M. Allen. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Chad.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.

My heart goes out to the family of Sergeant Allen. My deepest apologies to your family for your loss.
I was your sons Platoon Sergeant when he first came to LAR. He was a bright motivated young man. I saw so much potential in him. I knew he would quickly advance in rank. He had what it takes to be a great NCO.
He was set to deploy with Delta Company. While our Platoon was playing combat frisbee, he broke his arm. I brought him to the hospital. He asked me to call his mother. I did and we spoke. I told her how her son was a great Marine and he was sad that he would not be able to deploy with the Outlaws. This made Chad sad. I told him, "This was meant to be, God wants you to stay here at Lejeune. You need to heal." He was in tears.

He was there waiting for our Platoon when we returned. He was happy to see us all. I asked him how he was doing and he told me he made Corporal. I told him I was proud of him.
I have said "Goodbye" to 22 of my friends during this war. And it gets no less painful as time goes by. This young Marine always had a special place in my heart.
If the family of Chad Allen views this, his mother may contact me if she likes. She may remember that day I called her when Chad broke his arm. Maam', I am truely sorry for the loss of your son. He was a great kid and an awesome Marine. He will never be forgotten, I promise.
