St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2011 10th St. South, (715) 423-5990
Visitation is 1600 to 2000 26 JAN 07 at the Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. 1950 12th St. South. Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494 (715) 423-1414.
Even if you cannot attend the entire visitation, if you can make it for part of the time the family would be most grateful. You will not regret it.
Saturday, 27 JAN 07
The funeral service times are the same, BUT THE LOCATION HAS CHANGED. There will be a visitation from 0900 until the service begins at 1000. The funeral service location is now the Performing Arts Center attached to Lincoln High School, NOT the Moravian Church.
Performing Arts Center [attached to Lincoln High School]
1801 16th St. South
Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494
Staging location for the funeral HAS ALSO CHANGED. Staging will be in the south parking lot of Lincoln High School next to the football field from 0800 to 0830 Saturday 27 JAN 07. There will be a Rider’s Brief at 0830. The PGR will stand down during the funeral service at 1000.
Graveside services at Pioneer Cemetery will follow the service at the PAC. We are planning for the PGR to stand a flag line at the PAC at about 1100 when Matthew is brought from the PAC to the hearse. We will then move to the cemetery ahead of the procession and form a flag line. There is limited parking at the cemetery; we will be carpooling as much as possible to conserve parking space. All parking at the cemetery will be on the road. Ritchay Funeral Home will have people to assist in parking locations.
Pioneer Cemetery
48th St. South & Townline Road.

We will post weather updates. Please dress appropriately to honor this Hero.

A Soldier's Prayer (author unknown)
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
