Final Itinerary for Cpt. John Ryan Dennison

Funeral Service will be Wednesday morning (29 NOV) at 0800 at St. Johns for the Evangelist Roman Catholics Church, 118E 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701; following the service the family will travel to Arlington Cemetery for a graveside burial at 11:30. (The funeral home is Keeney Basford in Frederick)

0620 Rally point at 7-11, 501 East St. Frederick, Md 21701

0640 Kickstands up, enroute to St Johns Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118E. 2nd St. Frederick, Md 21701

0650 Arrive St. Johns Evangelist Roman Catholic Church

0700 Corridor of Flags

0710 Dennison family arrives

0800 Service starts

0900 Depart Church enroute to Arlington National Cemetery with Law Enforcement escort

Please be mindful that there could always be a last minute change.  The Ride Captain is George Hofferber of Frederick, C: 301-676-1501.  Dress appropriately for the weather.  Bring 3X5 Flags if you have them. Even if you can't make the ride to Arlington, please come pay your respects to the Hero and his Patriotic family. 

It will be an honor to ride with Cpt. Dennison on his final mission.

We are inviting riders from VA and DC to join our brothers and sisters from MD in honoring this brave hero. The escort is riding directly from MD to ANC.  Riders from VA  who are able to join are asked to stage at the Iwo Jima Memorial on 11/29 at 1030 hours. Kickstands up at 1045. We will meet the family and the MD PGR members at the ANC building.

The ride captain for this assist is Dan Golembiewski. He can be reached via cell phone at 703 855 8944.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday morning (29 NOV) at 0800 at St. Johns
for the Evangelist Roman Catholics Church, 118E 2nd Street, Frederick,
MD 21701;

Following the service. the family will travel to Arlington
Cemetery for a graveside burial at 1130.  (The funeral home is Keeney
Basford in Frederick)
 
Memorial Service at Fort Bragg:  We are still confirming the service;
however, it will most likely be at the Division Memorial Chapel this
Saturday at 1400.  The date/time and location of this service should be
confirmed tomorrow morning.
 
Ryan's parents are working on setting up a scholarship fund in his name
at the High School from which he graduated.  Haley and Ryan's parents
request donations in Ryan's name toward the scholarship fund in lieu of
flowers.   Additional information on the scholarship fund will be posted
when it becomes available. 

The Ride Captain for this mission is George Hofferber.  The rally point and time will be posted shortly.  Please join us in Honoring this Great American Hero and his Patriotic Family.

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Cpt. John R. Dennison, 24, of Ijamsville, MD, died on Nov. 15 in Balad, Iraq, as a result of small arms fire. Dennison was assigned to 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

This is another one that hits very close to home.

I did not know him very well but I had talked to the CPT Dennison a few times before OIF. He was a very good man.

To the family and friends of Cpt Dennison my most sincerest condolences to you during this time.

Words cannot fully express the sorrow I felt upon hearing this news on the television the other night. I've been sadly waiting for it to come up on our mission watch list, and I wlll do my best to be there if our support is requested. Just a question that someone might be able to answer. I believe I saw on TV 25 this morning that Cpt. Dennison was going to be layed to rest in NC. Is this correct?
