Staging is from 1600 to 1630 27 NOV 06 at Cross Lutheran Church, located on the SE corner of Hwy 11 and CR-W. We will have the riders meeting at 1630 and then proceed to the funeral home.
Funeral Services commencing at 1000 28 NOV 06. The Governor will meet privately with the family from 0945 to 1000. We will be staging 0845 to 0915 Tuesday, also at Cross Lutheran Church. We will have the riders meeting at 0915 and then proceed to the funeral home.

Schuetter-Daniels Funeral Home 625 South Brown's Lake Road Burlington WI 262.763.3434
this is located at the NE corner of Hwy 11 and CR-W
Burial will be at:
St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery 685 South First Street Waterford WI
There will be a procession to the cemetery. We will be standing down during the funeral service, and sending the bulk of our group ahead to form a flag line at the cemetery. We would like 6 flag bikes to remain at the funeral home to ride in the procession.
The Cemetery is immediately past The Bunker, on the right side of the street. We need to park on the left side of the street, across the street from the cemetery, NOT in the cemetery itself.
The cemetery is about 6.5 miles from the funeral home. Directions are: North on W to 36. North on 36 to 20. West on 20. The cemetery is about .3 miles West of 36 on 20. It will be on your right, immediately past the Bunker and the adjacent marsh.
DJ Casser will be the RC for this mission.
The escort for Captain Schiller was a success. The family greatly appreciated our presence, and I would like to thank all who participated, especially the IL PGR. My sincerest Thank You.
See you Monday.

Capt. Schiller sounds like an extraordinary young officer. In the story from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal linked below, is this:
In September 2005, Schiller's brigade was assigned to New Orleans for
relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Only seven hours had elapsed
between the time the assignment was announced and the time soldiers
were deployed and conducting relief operations, Earnhardt said.
"Our deployment standards are usually 18 hours after notification," Earnhardt said.
"For a company executive officer or a troop executive officer to
work with subordinate and lead officers to organize a deployment that
quickly is extraordinary," Earnhardt said.

Captain, should we be invited by your family, it will be our deepest regret, but a priviledge to stand in your honor.

In Flanders Fields
IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. |
