Walter Haskell Hartwell a loving and giving man, who gave so much to his Country for our freedom and all of his kids, step kids and grandkids whom all loved him so much, has left us as of 6;20 this morning, to be with our lord and savior. He has left us with an empty spot in our hearts that can never be filled, but many good memories to cherish.
For the Family of Mr Hartwell and myself,(neice) I want to express my most heartfelt thanks for what The Patriot Guards are doing for Haskell Hartwell, past and present, I know he was truly Honored the day the PGR visited him in Ardmore at the Veterans Center.
I want everyone to know that they(the Veterans) were talking about this for days after we all left.
Thank You PGR with all my heart and soul

I am so very proud to be a part of your group !!

My condolences to the family of Mr. Hartwell. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this mission as I am not able to be off work. I was one of the fortunate ones that were able to honor this hero on September 2nd. A memory that will last me a lifetime.

Rest in Peace Mr. Hartwell...

Life will never replace in kind, the one who is now lost, for we are all one of a kind.
I had the honor and privilege to participate in the living tribute of Walter Haskell a few weeks ago. Beyond words it was an honor. To the family of Walter Haskell, I plan to see you again, as we all honor Walter Haskell in his final farewell.

This is just a suggestion to the powers to be about a route from Davis to Elgin.  In order to keep us from having to go though Duncan we can go N. 8 mi out of Davis on Hwy 77 to Hwy 17A and then go straight W. 13.5 mi. to Elmore City. This will put us on Hwy 29 to Marlow, N. to Rush Springs, and then W. to Elgin.  This road (17A) is a county road after it goes over I35, but it is a very good road and the pavement is marked like a St. Hwy. and gets a lot of motorcycle traffic. (I live on this road just 2.5 mi E. of Elmore City). There will only be  5 stop  signs  between  Hwy 77  and  Marlow, and they will be between  77 and the 4 way stop in Elmore City. I think there would be much less traffic going this route.  The Garvin Co. Sheriff is a neighbor of mine and all around good guy and I bet he would give us any help we might need.   J.R. Derryl and I will be with all of you in spirit for this and the other upcoming Oklahoma rides; I just had knee surgery and it could be a few weeks, before I can ride again. In a few months they have to do surgery on the other knee as well. As long as it doesn't bother me to much I'll put that one off. The knee they just fixed was the leg I mount the motercycle with and it had gotten so bad I could barely get on anymore, hopefully I'll be riding again very soon; I really miss it.
