This is a flagline only while CPL Ross is placed in the hearse.  NO ESCORT. 

 

This is a private transport for Cpl Ross for burial at Arlington National Cemetery.

 

Family will not be traveling at this time.

Confirmed Mission

Cpl. Justin D. Ross

Green Bay, WI

April 3-4, 2011

Cpl. Justin D. Ross, died March 26 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked by small arms fire.  He was assigned to the 863rd Engineer Battalion; Wausau, WI. Justin joined the reserves Oct. 26, 2007.  He had been deployed since August and in Afghanistan since October.  His unit was scheduled to return in August or September.

Justin’s parents have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them and their family and friends in this final gathering for Justin.  Our Brothers and Sisters of Rolling Thunder will be with us on this mission.

A memorial fund has been set up to help with the cost of the funeral and to help Ross' paternal grandparents come from Montana to attend Ross' funeral in Green Bay.

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

            Spc. Justin D. Ross, 22, of Green Bay, Wis., died March 26 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked by small arms fire.  He was assigned to the 863rd Engineer Battalion, Wausau, Wis.
