Our names are John and Mary Cloe. We are members of the PGR, my husband goes by Johnyboy. My reason for sending this email is because a true Patriot passed away last night at the young age of 69. My husband's Grandpa, John Bryant, served our country for many years. He served in the Air Force, The Navy and retired as a US Marine. He served his country through both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
We would be honored if the Patriot Guard Riders would join us for our Grandpa's services, which are yet to be determined. We will keep you both informed and up to date on when the services will be. His burial and grave side services will take place at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.
We thank you and the Patriot Guard Riders in advance for all that you do and have done for all of our soldiers and veterans.
Sincerely,
John and Mary Cloe

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, But rather to skid in broadside, throughly used up, totally worn out and Loudly proclaiming WOW..........WHAT..........A..........RIDE!!!!

Lest I keep my complacent way, I must remember that somewhere out there a person died for me today. As long as there must be war, I ask and I must answer: Was I worth dying for? From a bronze plaque at the Memorial Monument in Hillsboro, IL.

May God bless and comfort the family and friends of Johnnyboy. This hits close to home as my own father was a Korean Vet and passed away a little over a year ago. Rest in peace John, and thank you for all you have done both in and out of the military.

The mission is set for Saturday, July 8th. We were hoping to get some riders on the way home from the St. Joseph mission to drop by for this mission as well. It will be a short ride approx 20 miles total and should only last about 45 minutes to one hour total. We will be traveling through the city on Independence most of the route. Anyone that can make this mission on such short notice would be greatly appreciated.

I talked with John and Mary this morning to get the itinerary update posted and got to hear a bit about John Bryant and more of the family. Not too many people have served in the Marine Corp, the Air Force, and the Army. From talking to Johnnyboy, I understand that John didn't talk much about his time in the service, but his dedication to defending his country is amazing. Thank you SSgt John Bryant and your family.

I may just head to the cemetary with the truck of flags, after the St. Joe mission. Thinking maybe we can set up an Avenue of Flags for them. Not sure I know where I'm going though.

PGR RIDERS:
The name of the Cemetary in Mount Washington and it is located just east of I-435 on U.S. 24 HWY. It is at the intersection of 24 hwy and Winner Road. Services start at 1500 for the family and I was told they are going to be held in a large white marble building on the grounds.
