We will be staging at the above location to escort SSG Richard J. Jordan to the Church.

 

Please be on time if you are going to ride in this escort.

 

 

All others please be at the church as stated in the main mission Itinerary.

 

 

If you plan to be part of the escort please dress per the weather conditions and if your flying an American Flag please make sure it is secured to your motorcycle.

 

 

We will be riding rain or shine, Please use your own judgment on how to get safely to the mission.

SSG Jordan lost his life in a vehicle roll-over in Mosul, Iraq. Please keep his wife and two daughters and the rest of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

 

Ohio State Captain Bob Woods/ District # 7 Ride Captain Mike Hamilton are  assigned this mission of Honor and Respect. Please follow their instructions and remember your 3 x 5 American Flags and dress per the weather conditions. DOD Identifies Army Casualty

                The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
 
                Staff Sgt. Richard J. Jordan, 29, of Tyler, Texas, died March 16 in Mosul, Iraq, of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.

Staff Sgt Richard J. Jordan earned my respect and gratitude when he volunteered to serve our country. His efforts to make the world a safer place will be remembered with honor and appreciation by this American family. His sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Many of our citizens will never know the sacrifices made by those who defend our freedoms, or the sacrifices made by their families and loved ones…as a veteran, I know. Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. Though I did not know Richard personally, his sacrifice and service to the United States of America makes him my “friend”. God be with you.
