The family of SGT Jonathan Richardson invites the Patriot Guard Riders to join them in honor and remembrance of his service and sacrifice. SGT Richardson made the ultimate sacrifice on March 9th during combat action in Afghanistan.

DOD Identifies Army Casualties

                The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died March 9 in Khowst province, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked their unit using small-arms, indirect and rocket-propelled grenade fires. They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
 
                Killed were:
 
                Sgt. Jonathan J. Richardson, 24, of Bald Knob, Ark.
 
                Pfc. Jason M. Kropat, 25, of White Lake, N.Y.

My sincere condolences, and prayers go out to the family of Sgt. Jonathan Richardson. Jonathan gave his life in order to defeat terrorism on it's home ground. For that act of bravery he will not be forgotten. I pray that in the days ahead his family will find comfort in the Lord. And rest assured, 185,000+ PGR members mourn with you.
