Time and Location Update:

Staging Begins   -    9:15am
Mission Brief     -    9:45am
Ride Begins       -   10:00am

Stage at:  R.D. Keene Park,   10900 Chase Road, Windermere, FL.  There will also be an F-15 flyover.

911 Memorial Dedication

20 FEB 10

Windermere, FL


The Mayor of the Town of Windermere (Gary Bruhn) has invited the PGR to its World Trade Center, 911 Memorial dedication in the town of Windermere, Fl. Law Enforcement and Firefighters will be included in the mission.

Arrangements for PGR parking is right across the street from the Memorial site.

Susie Karr, of Susie Karr Realty, 527 Main Street, has agreed to dedicate her parking lot for this mission. There will be a sign indicating that it is a selected area for Patriot Guard Riders.

The 9/11 Memorial is an Eagle Scout project. The 630 pound steel girder from the World Trade Center will sit atop a granite base and will be located between Town Hall and the Library.

Where: 614 Main Street, Windermere, Fl.

Staging time: 12:30 p.m.

Briefing: 1:30 p.m.

Flag Line Set: 2:15 p.m.

Dedication Ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m.

Please bring 3” x 5” flag, or other American flags as you have them.

Won't be making this one after all. Loading the bike into the truck, I dropped it off the ramp. Fortunately I was able to break it's fall with my body, but still just ordered $420.00 worth of new fenders, lights, etc. I think I'll take a Vicodin & a glass of Scotch out to the hot tub for a while.
