The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to attend and participate in the Welcome Home for US Army Sergeant Ryan Bresnahan, of Roseville CA. The soldier is coming home from the Sand Box, where he was a Blackhawk Door Gunner with the 717th Aviation, 101st Airborne. He will be arriving at Sacramento International Airport aboard Frontier Airlines at 10:00 AM (1000) on Thursday Nov 26th.
This is Thanksgivings Day and will be the busiest day of the year for the airlines, plan accordingly. All PGR members who are available to attend this welcome home would be one of the most meaningful way to be thankful for bringing back home one of our own service personnel.
Our Piper will be available for this Welcome Home! Briefing: 0900 at the Cell Phone Parking Lot (http://tinyurl.com/yj9n23j) KSU: 0915 to terminal B where we will establish a Flag Line and Welcome Home our Hero. RC: John Riley keystonecop.160@comcast.net You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there. Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Ride Captain John Riley has loan flags that may be used to help celebrate this welcome home. Please return them rolled up and ready for the next welcome home. I have had quite a few e-mails regarding this mission, and questions regarding Sacramento International Airport.
Hopefully this will help those who are not familiar with the Sacramento Airport.
For those who have GPS the address of the Airport is 6900 Airport Bl. Sacramento, Ca. 95837
Driving Directions The airport is located on Airport Boulevard, off the I-5. Driving west to the airport on I-80, or on I-50, follow signs to I-5 North and take the airport exit. Driving east to the airport on I-80, follow signs to I-5 North and take the airport exit. Location The airport is situated 19km (12 miles) north of Sacramento We will be staging at the CELL PHONE PARKING LOT at 0900 hours. KSU at 0915 hours to parking lot for Terminal "B" The CELL PHONE LOT is located on the southwestern most corner of the Airport property. After getting of off I-5 on Airport Bl. take the off-ramp that is just past the ARCO gas station. This will put you on a typical freeway type off ramp that will circle around and up to the right. It will dump you onto Grassfield Drive, heading West. Keep going west and you will dead end into a turn that allows access to the CELL PHONE PARKING area. This area is free to use. If you would like a pdf map of the Airport, it is available in the "files" area of this Yahoo Group. My thanks to those of you who have either e-mailed me or posted in the group messages that you will be there. I know you ALL will help make this a very special Thanksgiving for a very deserving family. John Riley PGR - R/C Sacramento International Airport Welcome Home Rides |
