The family of Major Robert Winger, United States Army [Retired] has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to to stand for Major Winger. The funeral will be Tuesday November 10, 2009 in New Cumberland PA with internment in Lebanon PA.

Welcome Home Robert

On 7 November 2009, Robert Howard Winger, son of Ralph and Stella Winger, passed from the Church Militant to the Church Triumphant. He was 79 years old, and experienced several health challenges in his last years of life.
Robert attended Penn State University and during his 20 years military service earned the following awards: The Bronze Star, a Meritorious Service, Vietnam Campaign and Vietnam Service medals, Two Overseas Bars, and the National Defense Service medal.
His wife, Priscilla Fox Winger, survives him, as well as Rose Chunik, Susan Yasalonis, Karen Hill, Robert H. Winger, Jr., Michael Winger, Eric Winger, Konrad Winger, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mission complete.........
On this beautiful Nov. day we laid to rest another American hero, Robert Winger. Blessings to his wonderful wife and children and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. What a wonderful legacy he has given us.
With 13 bikes and one cage we provided a fitting tribute.The mission ran very smoothly thanks to many experienced PGR brothers and the fine assistance of the Pathemore Funeral Home.
