Pastor Mike is officiating.  I spoke with the associate pastor who knew about the Patriot Guard.   Point of Contact is the mother, Mrs Debbie Reynolds.  She knew about the Patriot Guard.
I also spoke with Sam Shehorn who was his fire team leader while he was in Iraq.  He had good things to say about Rodney.

We will meet at Northender's VFW behind Hall's Harley Davidson at 9:00 and proceed to the Baptist Church NLT 9:30.

My sincerest condolences to Rodney's family.  My Dad also died of an aneurysm, but it is a shame to lose one so young.  I thank him for his service.

I am planning to attend, but it will be a haul.  If anyone has hotel/motel recommendations it would be appreciated.

THANK YOU to all for your emails offering advice and lodging.  Let me firm things up at work tomorrow, but I do not see any problem.  I will be back.

Note it will be about 300 miles, so I may not be the best house guest.  However, I would be leaving what is left of a bottle of Chevas, if that is any consolation!  Or not.

If I understand correctly, there is a conflicting event in Bloomington.  Let me know where I would be most needed.  I would be Honored to bolster the ranks of the area PGR during simultaneous events, wherever you need another rider.

I expect to have the bike mount for a 3x5 flag done for this ride, if that is a factor.

Thanks again everyone.  Your offers are most heartwarming.

Standing by in Kirksville, Mo. My condolences to the family.

Illinois is sure getting hit awful hard here lately. It seems like I just got back from Galesburg, Ill. I hope things start slowing down in the sandbox soon.

Wescoot2,

Is there something wrong with my computer? I don't understand all the "LACENAME" in the original post.

Jon,

He was acting as forum mod not a ride captain on this one.  He just posted the info that Rose gave him.  Obviously the program she used to send him the notice conflicts with the software in the forum.  Rose knows about this conflict and I'm sure she'll clear it up soon.

Patriotism is more than a sentiment; it is a conviction based upon a comprehension of the duties of a citizen and a determination loyally to perform such duties.

Not really a conflict, just enroute.  If you are coming down this way on Sunday, you may want to join the Iraq departure ceremony near Bloomington On Sunday and then spend the night in Springfield for the funeral on Monday morning.

When one bleeds, we all bleed, When one is taken from us, we all feel the empty void.
In the deepest part of every true patriots heart, is a pure positive energy that so truly desires to let your family know that your loss is also our loss. I know this is not always something that can be explained by a few simple written words no matter how hard I try to use my words to embrace you in this time of your family heart ache.
With Our Deepest Regret, And Our Highest Respectable Humble Regard, We openly shed more than just tears with you. Our heart aches knowing your feeling an aching void. Our heart ache is truly in honor felt for your loved one. It will be an honor and privilege for the Trophy Club Texas Bikers to stand tall, proud, respectful, silent and mourn in silence even at a distance from the state of Texas and continue to show our support to a heart broken family, state and nation.

Don't know if I can get off work, but if I can make it, I will be there.
It is a pleasure to ride, for those of us, that are no longer with us.

Planning on riding up Monday AM from St. Louis.
