STAND DOWN THIS MISSION

MISSION UPDATE

The time has now changed on this mission. We will be staging at 1700 (5pm) on the south side of Drennan/Milton Proby about 1 mile east of Powers. 

Please park BEHIND the barriers that have been erected.

Send-Off Mission ~ 10 Nov '09, Ft. Carson Troops deploying overseas, Colorado Springs, CO.
 
10 November, Tuesday, Ft. Carson Troops will be deploying overseas from, Colorado Springs, CO.
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to attend the SEND-OFF these troops heading overseas.
 
This mission will consist of 3 parts:
First, we will greet the troops as they arrive from Ft. Carson and commence manifesting;
Second, the PGR will remain in the "Lock-Down" facility with the Soldiers until Boarding Time;
Third, we will give them a HEROES' Send-Off with Good Luck Wishes, and Thanks for their Service.
 
Staging will take place at the South entrance of Air Cargo Road, off Milton Proby/Drennan Rd. (the main entrance road to the Colorado Springs Airport), about 1 mile East of Powers Blvd., in Colorado Springs.
 
Staging will be at 13:00 (1:00 PM), departing to the mission area NLT 13:15 (1:15 PM).
 
Please monitor Mission Thread for possible short-fused time adjustments.  This is a relatively small group heading out, so Manifest and Out-Processing will go quick.  The schedule could easily accelerate.

UPDATE:  looks like this mission is delayed by 4 hours --- so now we should plan on meeting at 1700hrs (5:00 PM) instead of 1300hrs

1145 hrs (11:45 am)

Leave 1200 hrs (12:00 pm noon)

Remember that we will be entering an active military installation, so proper riding gear
and paperwork is required if you're on 2 or 3 wheels.

STAND DOWN

Unfortunately, word was passed to us this morning that the facility that we normally use for these missions has been made off limits to all but mission-critical persons. This means that we cannot do send-off or welcome home missions until further notice. (Or we devise a change to the way we do them)
