I have met the family, and I can tell you, they are very proud of their father's service to his country and community.  I met two sons that followed his footsteps into law enforcement. They are, like "Scotty", all very patriotic, and I know that even one flag flying in his honor will touch them deeply.

To the family:

I want to express my condolences, as I know that you have lost a great man. I hope you know as well, you have gained a family. It will be our distinct honor to stand in respect of George Kerr "Scotty" Hamilton, Army Veteran. May your coming days be filled with peace and the knowledge of his love around you as he sits at the right hand of God.
