It was an honor be among the approximately 65 people who surprised Spc. Pat Fisher and escorted him to his welcome home party.  He was met at his destination by dozens of friends and family.  Thank you to all who attended, including all the police officers, and thank you especially to Spc. Fisher for his service to our country.  Welcome home!

To all those who welcomed me home, and to all those that took part in my welcome home mission i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you all have done. Your thoughts and acts of kindness truly are appreciated and will forever be remembered by myself as well as my whole family. To the local police departments for escorting me to a night ill never forget, thank you as you have once again made the southside of chicago the BEST place to live. To the Patriot Guard riders who also escorted me to my welcome home party, again, thank you so very much for giving me a "RIDE IN STYLE" To my brothers in arms, the fine men of Charlie Company 1st Platoon 2-35 infantry, 25th ID, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, who continue to put their selves in harms way for the preservation of the american life, you will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for the laughs, the tears, and the crazy drunken nights. Your more then buds, YOUR FAMILY! And finally to my wife Kristin who has always been by my side threw the ups and downs of my service. I thank you, love you and could never do what you have done. You once read me a quote that said "the only thing harder then being a soldier is loving one" and hunny, as usual your very right. The army made me good, the infantry made me better, and you MAKE me great. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do everyday. The military spouses are truly the unsung heros of the nation in my eyes and will always have my deepest respects. Kristin, your my favorite ;) Spc. Patrick Fisher U.S. Army INFANTRY
