Thank you, SSGT Keith R. Bishop for your service to this Nation. Individuals like you put your life on the line and sacrifice your lives for our freedoms. And it breaks my heart. I pray each day that the Lord our God will provide each and every one of our soldiers an Angel to watch over and protect them. It is the soldier that gives us freedom, not the politicians. Only two people ever died for our freedoms. One was Jesus Christ and the other was the American Soldier. The least I can do is pay homage and respect to this Hero and his family.
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America “for an amount of up to and including my life.”
That is Honor.
To the family of this American Hero: We as a nation grieve with you in your loss. His adherence to “Duty to God and Country” will not be forgotten. Death is a time to rejoice in the life someone had and the lives they touched on this earth. Life is but a blink of an eye. May the Great Architect take this Hero and his family into his council, protect and heal them.

You don't have to love war, but you do have to love the Warrior!

The sound of 200 people holding flags -- is deafening.

____________________________________________________________

For this country, this Warrior has stood the watch.

While some of us were in our beds at night, this Warrior stood the watch.

While some of us were in school learning our trade, this Warrior stood the watch.

Yes, even before some of us were born into this world ... this Warrior stood the watch.

In those years when the storm clouds of war were seen brewing on the horizon of history this Warrior stood the watch.

Many times he would cast an eye home and see his family standing there ... needing his guidance and help ... needing that hand to hold during those hard times ... but he still stood the watch.

He stood the watch for years, He stood the watch so that we, our families, and our fellow countrymen could sleep soundly in safety each and every night knowing that a Warrior stood the watch.

Today we are here to say “Friend, the watch stands relieved. Relieved by those you have led, guided, and trained. You stand relieved. We have the watch.”

GOD BLESS!
