Mission for Sunday 11/08/09
The PGR has been invited by the family of First Class Metzger on Sunday
this is a plane arrival, so time can vary. This is a two part mission.
the second part is on Tuesday 11/10/09
Mission staging at Spanish Landing at 10:00AM
Mission Briefing at 10:30AM
KSU to commuter terminal at 10:40AM
The PGR will then set a flag line after the flag line we will escort
First Class Metzger to Humphrey's in Chula Vista CA.
The second part of this mission will be Tuesday 11/10/09 we will stage at Humphrey's
Chula Vista.
Mission staging will be at Humphrey's, Chula Vista, CA 10:00AM
Mission Briefing at 10:30AM
Flag line at 10:40AM
We will be escorting First Class Metzger to his final resting place at
Ft Rosecrans where we will set a flag line for the military honors.

DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of seven soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died Oct. 26 of wounds suffered when the MH-47 helicopter they were aboard crashed in Darreh-ye Bum, Afghanistan.
Killed were five soldiers assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Regiment (Airborne), Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.:
Chief Warrant Officer Michael P. Montgomery, 36, of Savannah, Ga.
Chief Warrant Officer Niall Lyons, 40, of Spokane, Wash.
Staff Sgt. Shawn H. McNabb, 24, of Terrell, Texas.
Sgt. Josue E. Hernandez Chavez, 23, of Reno, Nev.
Sgt. Nikolas A. Mueller, 26, of Little Chute, Wisc.
Also killed were two soldiers assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.:
Sgt. 1st Class David E. Metzger, 32, of San Diego.
Staff Sgt. Keith R. Bishop, 28, of Medford, N.Y.

Thank you, SFC David E. Metzger for your service to this Nation. Individuals like you put your life on the line and sacrifice your lives for our freedoms. And it breaks my heart. I pray each day that the Lord our God will provide each and every one of our soldiers an Angel to watch over and protect them. It is the soldier that gives us freedom, not the politicians. Only two people ever died for our freedoms. One was Jesus Christ and the other was the American Soldier. The least I can do is pay homage and respect to this Hero and his family.
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America “for an amount of up to and including my life.”
That is Honor.
To the family of this American Hero: We as a nation grieve with you in your loss. His adherence to “Duty to God and Country” will not be forgotten. Death is a time to rejoice in the life someone had and the lives they touched on this earth. Life is but a blink of an eye. May the Great Architect take this Hero and his family into his council, protect and heal them.
