Thank you, MAJ. David L. Audo for your service to this Nation. Individuals like you put your life on the line and sacrifice your lives for our freedoms. And it breaks my heart. I pray each day that the Lord our God will provide each and every one of our soldiers an Angel to watch over and protect them. It is the soldier that gives us freedom, not the politicians. Only two people ever died for our freedoms. One was Jesus Christ and the other was the American Soldier. The least I can do is pay homage and respect to this Hero and his family.
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America “for an amount of up to and including my life.”
That is Honor.
To the family of this American Hero: We as a nation grieve with you in your loss. His adherence to “Duty to God and Country” will not be forgotten. Death is a time to rejoice in the life someone had and the lives they touched on this earth. Life is but a blink of an eye. May the Great Architect take this Hero and his family into his council, protect and heal them.

You don't have to love war, but you do have to love the Warrior!

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of MAJ. David L. Audo. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your loved one was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, David.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

This grateful Nation owes him more than we can ever repay. May we ever live our lives in a way that will honor his great sacrifice.

May his memory be a blessing, and may God comfort those who mourn.

I know David.
I was there at his house when he was born.
I was there when his mother brought him home.
He was much younger then the rest of us.
His middle brother was one of my best friends.
I dated and nearly married his middle sister.
I was very close to his entire family.
His Mother and Father are gone for a number of years.
One day when David came home from grade school as he walked up to
his house his sister Carol said to hiim "David, your shirt is on wrong, he said no it's not, she said yes it is it is on inside out, he replied by saying the tag is in the back and smugly walked past us both". We laughed and laughed because he was right, he had been taught to always put the tag in the back however he had worn that shirt inside out with the tag in the back all day long.
Dave never had a chance. He was the youngest of 5 and came along late in life for his folks. He never was going to get a break from his siblings or their friends. We always loved him and thought he was the cutest thing around.
I guess the last tiime I saw Dave was when he was perhaps 7 or 8.
I was able to visit with his oldest brother Victor this past July at our 30th highs school reunion.

I wanted to include this for those of you who will never know Dave. He laughed and played heartily as a child.

Thank you David for your service to our nation. I am very proud to have known you in this life and pray I will see you in the next one.

Blessings to his family.
