Veterans Day Ceremony, Galena, MD., 11 Nov 09
===================================================================

The town of Galena, MD is once again holding their annual Veterans Day
Ceremony on Nov. 11 at the cemetery next to St. Dennis Catholic Church at
9:00 am.  As in previous years, they have invited the Patriot Guard Riders
to attend and set up a flag line for the brief ceremony.

This is a wonderful ceremony and those Riders who have ridden it in the past
have greatly enjoyed it.  The folks in Galena take great care of the Riders
and hot coffee is available when we arrive.  The community was very thankful
for the Riders presence last year.

Ride Captain will be Mark Praschak (captmark435@atlanticbb.net)

11 Nov 2009
Rally Time:  0800-0815 hrs
Rally Location: St. Dennis Church (Education Center) 154 N Main St, Galena,
MD. (directly across from the church).

Don't forget your 3x5 US Flag for the flag line and to dress for whatever
the weather brings us.

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Thank you.

Can't think of a better way to spend Veteran's Day than to remember and honor all our Vets. And this will be my first mission (new guy).

I will be hosting a starting rally point at the old Osprey (now 7-11) at the cornor of Rt 50 and Rt 213. Anyone wishing to ride to Galena from points South is welcome to join our group. We will 'muster' at 0630 and KSU by 0645 Wednesday. We will do this rain or shine - ride on it or in it - depending on the weather, but we WILL honor our fallen heros this day.

I would appreciate and e-mail (jimbarbhutson@atlanticbb.net) if you plan on meeting us and being part of the Southern procession to Galena.

I just found out that there will be a special memoribilia presentation by F. Raymond Russo during the reception after the ceremony. Mr. Russo is a WWII veteran who flew in the Tokyo bombing raids that helped to end the war. For many years he has been very active in veteran assistance, and he visits the VA hospitals on a regular basis. I urge everyone that can attend Veterans Day in Galena to tell your friends and family. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
