Staging time for this escort mission has shifted to 0830, due to last-minute schedule changes by the Army. The location will remain the same (Big Sandy Outlet store in Cross Lanes). Bikes and cages are welcome, and please be advised there could be heavy fog in the morning. Allow yourself plenty of time for travel.

I would like to take this time to remind everyone about the escort for the 261st on Tuesday morning, Nov 3rd. I know this is a work day for many, but for those who can spare a few hours, please try to attend this send-off. For those coming from the WEST, take I-64 East to exit 47a (Cross Lanes), go right to the Big Sandy parking lot on Rt 622 (you’ll be headed towards the Dog Track). Those coming from the EAST, SOUTH or NORTH  take I-64 West getting off at exit 47 (Cross Lanes), turn left at top of exit on Rt 622 (Goff Mountain Rd) going towards the Dog Track; Big Sandy’s is on the right. Don’t forget to bring your 3x5 flag.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to provide an escort from Cross Lanes, WV to Yeager Airport on November 3, 2009 as members of this unit are being deployed to the Middle East.

 

The RC for this mission has not been determined. Within the next few days times and locations will be announced.

 

While you are monitoring this thread, be sure to wish these men and women well as they are deployed to protect our freedom.
