FINAL ITINERARY

STAGING AREA

Arrive at staging area no later than 11:00am Friday morning.
Pre-ride briefing will take place at 11:10am
Kickstand up for ride to funeral home 11:30am

FUNERAL HOME

Park and form up at main entrance to funeral home with flags and banners.
12:30 family arrives.
1:45pm funeral procession departs for Cathedral

CATHEDRAL

Park and form up at main entrance with flags and banners.
Memorial services begin at 2:00pm.
At the conclusion of the memorial services, we will leave and escort the
funeral procession to the cemetery.

At the conclusion of the cemetery services, we will all depart and regroup
at the staging area. Because will will not have an escort from the cemetery
to the staging area, there is a good chance that we'll get seperated at
intersections.  This is why I'm calling for a re-group at the staging area so members can once again meet up with fellow riders for the trip home.

Please review the posts in this thread.
Consider bringing something to drink and eat for yourself.
Be sure to download and print yourself a copy of the maps I've included below.
Ride safe and don't forget your flags. See you tomorrow.

Statement on the death of Pat Damon

Augusta – House Speaker John Richardson issued the following statement Thursday after hearing of the death of Pat Damon from an apparent heart attack while serving in Afghanistan.

Damon served as chief of staff in the House Majority Office and later in the Speaker’s Office for Patrick Colwell. He was serving as administrative director at the Maine Public Utilities Commission when he was called up for active duty earlier this year. He was a member of the Maine National Guard.

“I came to know Pat very well when I was the House Majority Leader and Pat was chief of staff to Speaker Colwell. Pat was extremely hard working and dedicated to his job and to the Legislature. He was always concerned about others and was an excellent staff leader. He was committed to the betterment of Maine and improving people’s lives. His death is a tragic loss for his family and friends, which includes all of us fortunate enough to have worked with him in the Legislature.”

In the deepest part of every true patriots heart, is a pure positive energy that so truly desires to let the family know that their loss is also our loss. I know this is not always something that can be explained by a few simple written words.
With the deepest regret, I openly shed a tear with you, my heart aches feeling an aching void is truly in honor felt. It will be an honor and privilege for the Trophy Club Texas Bikers to stand silent and mourn in silence even at a distance from the state of Texas and continue to show our support to a heart broken family, state and nation.

As one person stated earlier, this doesn't get any easier. Our hearts are once again broken by the tragic news that yet another brother-in-arms has fallen. Our deepest sympathy to Cpt. Damon's family, friends and unit. We stand ready to assist and to honor if called upon.

Fellow PGR members, if we are called upon by the family to honor this brave soul, please know that the details of the mission will be posted here in this thread. I have been tasked to spearhead this mission and I am fortunate that Christine will be providing me with some much needed assistance. Please know that as soon as details become available, those details will be posted here. Until then the only details we have are purely speculation and we don't move on speculation. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I do have one request, I need six to eight volunteers. I would like to have six members, standing by and ready to perform various jobs at the staging area, at the funeral home, and at the church. Please send me an email so I can provide you with some details. I'm just getting things prepared.
