The PGR has been asked to stand for Joe Valdez, US Army WWII Veteran and Silver Star recipient.  I realize this is extremely short notice, but Mr. Valdez is the great-uncle of our own Cpt. Flores (SA PGR) and this is a chance for us to be there for him, for the years that he has been there for us and the families we have stood for.  Services will be held at 10:00am at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church, followed by an escort to Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.  At this time, no RC is assigned for this mission, but members from the San Antonio ALR will be present to take lead if an RC does not step forward.  If you are in/around that area, please try to attend and stand for one of our American Heroes.  Thank you.

Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I just returned home from the mission. 11 bikes. What an impression we left. My cousins tell me my Aunt (Joe's wife) was in tears in the vehicle behind us. In her Spanish language she called us saints. Thank you fellow PGR members and American Legion Riders. For those of you not able to make it, thank you for the calls of condolences.

Thank you for our freedom Mr Valdez. May you rest in peace.

“Some people’s lives can truly make a difference however long or short their lives on earth. They give the gifts of kindness and of caring. They sow the seeds of friendship and self-worth. Some people’s lives are beautiful examples of putting others first, and when they are gone, the lives of those they touched are so much richer, and the love they shared lives on and on.”
