The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to welcome home Dennis Cowart and several other Heroes of the 715th MP Co from Afghanistan. The men and women of the 715th have been functioning at corrections officers at prisons in Afghanistan.
Doris Cowart, remembers when the PGR stood for their family member at an Honor Mission, and has extended an invitation to the Patriot Guard to welcome home her son. Several Heroes of the 715th MP will be arriving to share in the festivities. Mrs. Cowart will be providing a cookout and live entertainment and would appreciate the Patriot Guard Riders spending time with these young men.
Stage at the location below, then ride to the Cowart home as a group.
Date: July 4th, 2009
Time: 4:30 pm
Location: Racetrack parking lot (corner of 17-92 & Deerfoot Rd. Deland)
Briefing: 5:15 p.m.
KSU: 5:25p.m.

RIDE REPORT
Nine bikes and one cage met at the Racetrack Station for the short ride to Hero Cowart's home.
We were met by about 60-70 family and friends, along with four additional Heroes from Cowart's unit.
After a picture taking session by the bikes, we were escorted into the party enclosure where the band and each Hero was introduced and welcomed home. Each PGR member was asked to introduce themselves also.
Lots of hand shaking, hugs, and plenty of incredible food and drink for all who attended.
Thank you to all that helped welcome these Heroes back on home turf.
Gotta love these feel good missions : ) |
