Alabama has lost another great American Hero.  PFC Ricky Turner lost his life in result of combat actions in the War Against Terrorism.  Ricky lived his life fully giving his all, to his beloved country and to each and everyone of us.  The family of this Hero has requested the Patriot Guard to be a vital part and stand proud for their loved one.
 
More information will be provided after plans are finalized for the Heroes arrival and services.

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
            Pfc. Ricky L. Turner, 20, of Athens, Ala., died Jan. 16 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit. He was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
