On Saturday, November 29, 2008, the American Legion Riders (ALR), Blue Star Mothers, and the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) will honor a hero. 

U.S. Army SSgt Derek Trubia, is home after a 15 month deployment to Iraq.  SSgt Trubia is assigned to the  514th Company of the  62nd Medical Brigade and while he was in Iraq, he trained Iraqi soldiers. Trubia is a 5 year veteran of the U.S. Army, is married and has two children. He is the son of local residents Jim and June Trubia
