 Spent nearly five years in the Corps---3/67 - 10/71. Mediacally discharged. One tour in Nam.
Retired after 31 years with a school district in North San Diego County, Calif. Born and raised in St. Louis, but sure didn't wanna go back there after living in 'paradice'. Then again, sold our house in Feb. '05, lived in a motel for a month then 'got the hell outta Dodge' two days after I retired. Too crowded, too expensive and, I'm sorry, but, too many non-english speakers. Got really tired of not being able to talk to people in MY native tounge. Was also a Scout Master for 18 years.
This summer the wife and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary. (She has no taste, which is why she's stayed with me all these years).
Moved to Rolla, to a house 4 times bigger than what we had on a couple acres and an in-ground pool. Great people here and a great area. I really don't miss Calif. as much as I thought I would.
