Bio:
This is not my bio, but is a part of my soul.*********** "WELCOME HOME", Brothers & Sisters of the Vietnam War era, I believe it is up to us older guys and gals to ensure that the young folks of our present military are not treated like garbage as we were, whether , "Era or In-Country, (same oath, same uniforms, same treatment by the American public)", by supporting them as we are doing in PGR and by legally suppressing any attempts by anyone to make them feel as we did for 20 years or so, and still do maybe. To me, that is the very best way to harness our own emotions and to divert them away from our good and bad days in uniform and ourselves. We, as old Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines now have the role of being Patriots, and leaders. I particularly support the PGR organization because of its patriotism, and disregard for "social or veteran - service status" and politics,( doesn't make any difference whether one is a retired colonel, Korean, Vietnam, Afganistan or Iraq War Vet, or Non-Veteran, Security Contractor, or Conservative / Liberal ---who cares?? PGR is not about any of us individually, until possibly honored by a PGR flagline, if we should be so fortunate. The Wall, with 58,240+ young Americans listed, reflects a huge sacrifice and tragedy that we should never forget in making future war decisions. I'm reminded of this everytime we PGR roll-out on another mission for another brave young American who did not have the chance to live out a normal lifespan. I pray that their sacrifices will not prove to be the result of another horrible misjudgement like Nam was, either getting into it in the first place or by prematurely pulling out (abandon) to leave our native supporters to be massacred. Enough written!
