I am a soldier's mother who is very close to her son (Sgt. Kenton Allen). Kenton has served two tours in Iraq, and was bombed the second time while stationed in Tikrit. He received only a superficial cut and suffered from vertigo for about 6 mos. afterward when the bomb hit his truck just behind the cab and knocked it off the road. When Kenton came so close to being killed, it really changed me. I am so grateful to have him continuing to bravely serve his country, on his third tour in Iraq. I am compelled to do something special to serve our country and to comfort the families of soldiers who did not survive a bomb. My heart aches for them. This is my story and the reason I joined the PGR. Please remember him in your prayers.
