 I am an Army Vet, (4-74 to 6-80), Police Wife for 22 years, step mom to 2, mom to 2 and Nana to 2. But most of all, I am a PROUD MARINE MOM of a Cpl. who is being deployed to Iraq in 2-06. His unit will replace the unit that LCpl Price was in. As a former military member, I understand about deployment. I understand our need to be "there". I understand the numbers of war and all that stuff. As a mom, I hate this thing and I hate that it takes our babies. They will always be our babies, no matter how old they are and how far away they are. So, to this, I must say, "Semper Gumby" (always flexible), and will always be, "Semper Mater" (always Mother). I respect all current, past, and future military, and support them as they perform their duty. I do not always agree with the higher powers, but know I must support them, as they hold my son's life in their hands.
