 Lost my son Timothy on Thanksgiving day of 2005 to the after effects of the Iraq war. His year in Iraq patrolling the roads around Baghdad took it's toll on his soul. His battle with his demons is now over, he is finally at peace with himself. Our family will forever miss his smile, and his laugh, and his love.
I will forever miss my soldier, my firemen, my son, my hero, and my friend.
We all need to remember that what goes on in Iraq and Afganistan does not stay there. It comes home in one form or another.
The Patriot Guard has given me a renewed sense of purpose and patriotism. After Tim died I never even flew a flag, and now I hold one proudly at the call to honor a soldier. For that I thank the Patriot Guard every day, and now my wife and daughter are with me. Our family heals with all of you.
