I wish I had the words to express my feelings of appreciation for the sacrifice that Cpl. Palmer has made for his country. I will never forget. My family and I are praying for his family and friends in their time of mourning. Do not hesitate to call should you need anything.
Standing by in Salisbury and I will see you in Seaford tomorrow.
May God Bless Cpl. Palmer and his family.

Cpl. Palmer should be honored at the response of his home town. Elise covered our reception, but there was one lady who I had an exchange with. She said, "I'm a vet, I get it, thank you for being here." I hope that I didn't hurt her feelings, I'm very uncomfortable with all of this. I'm not here for me, I'm here for Cpl. Palmer. It is truly an honor for me to be here and to have an oportunity to honor him. As for the town of Seaford, they all "Get it." This is the begining of a day that I will never forget. Flag lined streets, flags at half mast, yellow ribbons, and red, white, and balloons. A community that has banded together for two fallen heroes. To honor them, their service to our nation, and their ultimate sacrifice.
God Bless them both, and God bless the citizens of Seaford. |

Sounds like there will be ag great turnout today too. I have several members of a church in Newark who will be coming. What the UG's are doing is apalling to us and absolutely UNCHRISTIAN in their behavior. Jesus would not have ever sanctioned any such behavior. We feel a strong duty to stand with the family and honor Cory and make sure the family knows that society will not stand idly by in the face of such hatefulness. Thank you all for being here and pulling everyone together. It is a wonderful service that you do. We could all just as well sit at home and be upset about this situation. But for many of us, when we see an injustice, we just can't let it go unanswered. That's how we create heaven on earth. (or at least do our best to get there) |

Hey All! Today is looking pretty good with a chance (we hope not) of isolated thunderstorms. I will be arriving at Seaford HD with group from Salisbury Area and group from Virginia Beach. SQ - r12guy will be there early with others to assist in parking and sign-in. I gave him clipboards yesterday with sign in sheets. Will have to use best judgement and help from the HD folks in parking so we can just roll out of the parking lot. Call if you have any questions (anyone): 443/235-5910 |

Posted By Bowtie18 on 05/20/2006 3:24 PM I'll be coming down from Smyrna for this mission. Looking for others heading there from the north. We will be leaving the Dairy Queen in Camden, rt10 and rt13, at 11:30. Anyone going down from the Dover area is welcome to join us. I'll be there. Just look for the Black Road Star. I have a short WS, and a sissy bar with a small barrell bag. I should be there a bit early.

Folks, it was amazing. The best estimates I have from the Captains puts it at around 800 bikes and 1000+ riders.
It was my honor to be a part of this ride, and I am completely overwhelmed by the response from the PGR and from the community.
And tired. Man am I tired.
It was great to get to meet a lot of the folks on here - special thanks from me to Susan, who grabbed my hand as soon as I got to the H/D shop and helped point me in the right direction.
It was an honor to be there for Cory - thank you all for coming out and helping us to have an orderly and honorable event. |

I have put my pictures from today up on my website - Check them out here.
Many thanks:
Delaware State Police, Seaford PD, Georegtown PD, for escorting us and keeping us safe. Seaford Harley-Davidson, for giving us a place to be, and giving us drinks and snacks. Seaford Middle School and High School, for giving us another place to be. Seaford Volunteer Fire Company for feeding us and giving us drinks.
Thanks to everyone for coming out.
Thanks to the Palmer family for inviting us as guests.
Thank you Cory, for answering the call when your country needed you. I hope that we repaid you some small honor today.

Wow is all I can say. This was my first ride, and I was blown away by the response. It seemed like we were very well recieved, and it was an honor to be present, and to meet some of the members here. God bless the Palmer family, and all those who took part today.

Thank for posting the pics! I'm looking through them now. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to ride with you, but I'm so glad for the showing of love and appreciation for our fallen hero and his family. I've never seen so many flags!!! I'm sure the family was overwhelmed by this. I hope that the family truly knows just how much the true American citizens appreciate and honor their son and his service.
Carry on.... |

Todays Mission was to honor and demonstrate respect for a fallen hero. The day was full of powerful emotions, and feelings. Please when posting make every effort to keep our mission at the front. We are in the honor business. Corey and his family deserve our respect and honor on this forum also. Should you feel the need to comment on topics other than this or other events, I would respectfully ask that you take it to another thread.

I have been in contact with Mr. Cranston from the funeral home and have been informed from him, that the Palmer family and hearse only are leaving @ 0930 tomorrow from The Cranston Funeral Home. (300 N. Shipley Str. Seaford, De.) Anyone who would like to join them for the trip to Arlington is welcomed to do so. Since there will be no police escort all who are attending can stage out of the funeral home parking lot or nearby areas. Anyone who would like to be a road captain for the group travelling to Arlington, feel free to do so. Decide amongst yourselves. Take care and ride safe.
To Corporal Cory Palmer and family, God Bless and my sincerest condolences.

| I just arrived at my home in Union Bridge, Maryland from my first PGR Mission in Seaford, De. I had to go outside and look at the stars for awhile, thinking about how good we have it in the USA, and feel the gratitude to these young men for the sacrifice being made. It was an Honor to be a part of this Mission to honor Cpl. Cory L. Palmer. |

Well friends.. I won't be joining you in Seaford tommorrow... it's 11:55 and my wife and I just arrived home. However, my bike is locked inside Seaford HD with a burnt stator. I really have to thank all those folks without whose assistance we would still be sitting on the road wondering what's next. Bob M. and company thanks for your offer of a battery charger and a place for my bike to stay the night. Thanks to the local folks whose names I did not get for assisting us with jump starts and a trailer ride. You definately made our day better. And a very special thank you to Bill Bennett and the folks from Seaford HD for opening the store back up for us so I could replace a voltage regulator which unfortuanately wasn't the problem. And of course my personal thanks to Frank B. and Paul F. who stayed with us until the last. SliderBob if you read this.. tell Jingles I'll never give him a hard time about breaking down again. I'll be in Seaford tommorrow...with a trailer. I think maybe I'll try to get warm again now. RIDE SAFE!! |

We were proud and humbled to serve at the services for Cpl Cory Palmer. The citizens of the town of Seaford were also there if full force. My Cory rest in God's arms. We will never forget him.
I was also proud of the support from our neighboring States. We will try support them whenever we can.
And I agree with another poster: Boy, am I tired. I have to go to work today just to get some rest.
God Bless this fallen hero. |

Yesterday was as it should be across the land!
Yesterday, Americans from states as far away as Tennessee all came together to honor a Fallen Hero, Cpl Cory L. Palmer of Seaford, DE. We will never know how many were there to honor our hero, but the number was well over a thousand.
One always searches for meaning in the loss of such a fine young man. For me, what I saw and heard today helped me find peace with Cpl Palmer’s ultimate sacrifice. For Cpl Palmer has raised a community, a state, a nation, to its feet. In song and prayer, and flags held high, I am proud of Cpl Palmer, and I’m proud to be an American looking up to him.
