| Good deal, thanks for the answers. BTW, if you're still taking numbers, the group from up here will go up by friday night. Some are still finalizing plans so I'll let you know for sure tomorrow night what the correct count is. As it stands at this point it's still four of us. Ride safe. |

| FYI...Cyndee Campbell of one of the local St. joe radio stations ( K-jo 105.5 ) http://www.kjo1055.com/home.php has been spreading the word of the PGR for the past two days. It sounds like there may be a very large community turn out, from all of the calls she has been fielding asking for the website and info, which will mean more vehicles. (There's also a new city ordinance outlawing protests at funerals there one hour prior.) In short, traffic may be heavy in that general area so please ride aware and we'll see you all Saturday. |

It has been suggested that bringing a tent canopy (like a 10' x 10' canopy with tall legs) might be a good idea for some shade at the church parking lot. I think this is a great idea if anyone has one of these and can bring it. Just in case we do need more shelter from the sun. If you do bring one, check with "Big Dog" to get his ok to put it up. He, also, might want to put it in a specific location as well.

I would be GREAT if someone would contact Johnny Dare (98.9 The ROCK 6:00 - 10:00) (816-576-7989) tomorrow EARLY. He has had Patriot Guard members on before and the response from the listeners was VERY positive.

Notice to all riders:
According to Mapquest, there are no gas stations at White Cloud, KS, where we are going for the burial service. There are several stations around the town, within 8 to 14 miles in different directions. Didn't look like there were any directly on the path that we will take that would be very close to White Cloud, KS. If anyone knows differently of this, please feel free to correct me. I would strongly suggest that everyone fill their tanks in St. Joseph before they get to the staging area to be ready for the cemeterey trip after the funeral.
Ride safe everyone and may God be with all of you on this journey.

ATTENTION PGR MEMBERS:
Due to the server crash I am reposting this message!
Please make a note that there is another mission later tomorrow afternoon in the Independence/Lee's Summit area. If anyone can make this mission it will be greatly apprecitated by the family. The Bryant mission is a short mission that should only take about an hour and the ride is about a 20 mile ride. We will be escorting the family from Lee's Summit to Independence for a memorial service that starts at 1500. If you can make it we will be staging at the Quick Trip in Lee's Summit @ the intersection of 291 hwy and 50 hwy. Staging time is 1330 and the family should arrive no later than 1400. We will travel west on 50 hwy to 350 hwy, from there we will travel north on Noland Road into Independence and turn West on 24 Hwy to the Cemetary. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me or you can get with me tomorrow at the Bradbury mission. I plan on heading out of the St. Joseph area no later than 1215 for Lee's Summit. Please join in if you can....
Here is a link to the thread for more information: http://www.patriotguard.org/Forums/tabid/61/forumid/11/postid/138991/view/topic/Default.aspx

MI_Warrant fyrdude I will be heading out from Lee's Summit. Is there a meeting point scheduled for the QT in LS at 291 and 50? I was thinking that if areallyniceguy and his group were coming in then we could meet them there unless there are plans to meet somewhere else. I will check this forum until probably around 2200 07-JUL-06. I don't exactly know where the staging point is, so I would rather go as a group with someone. If I don't see a post about a meeting point in LS, then I will probably head up to the one on Noland road or just go up to Platte City.
Ride Safe everyone. |

Ride Safe everyone. Cruz, My plan was to head to Independence at I70 and Noland by 0700, then make sure I was in Platte City on time to meet them. I make the run from LS to Leavenworth Daily, so I know that I can make Indep to PC in an hour on a SAT. 435 on the East side of the loop was my planned route. I know that there is a big group going up the West side of the loop, meeting at the QT in PC. Chief

| Just checked it out. Depending on the route taken, it is about 38 miles from St. Joe to White Cloud, so filling up in St. Joe would be the best option probably. For those not coming back south to KC, there is a town 10 miles east of White Cloud called Oregon, MO that has one gas station and there is a town 10 miles south-southeast called Highland, KS that has one gas station. Then going north there is Mound City that looks to have one gas station. That's about all I see in a 10 mile radius from White Cloud. Now that's 10 miles as the crow flies, so getting there might be more like 15 miles with winding roads. |

Posted By Kai on 07/05/2006 5:06 PM To: CGardner from Topeka ALR 400. I pre rode the mission to St Joe today. I thought I'd give you a short version of the route if ya'll are still taking that route.. 1. Out of Topeka on 24 to 4 North. 2. 4 North ends and changes to 59 at Nortenville. 3. Take 59 all the way into St Joseph. ( Make sure you stop before the bridge in Atchison and put on your helmets if you haven't already. ) 4. As you come into St Joseph on 59 take a right an Alabama St (752 hwy). There is a Taco Johns on the NW corner of the intersection. 752 will take you right onto 229 where you can merge onto 29 North. 5. Get on 29 North 6. Take 29 North to exit 47B. This is the exit to Frederick Road. 7. Make a right on Fredrick Road and go thru 2 stop lights. Keep looking to the right and you will see American Legion Post 359. Its accross the street from a cemetary which is on the left. It took me approximately 3.5 hours with one gas stop from Manhattan. It should take you 2.5 hours to get to the American Legion in St Joseph. Kai P.S. Judy who is the bartender of the post, says she will have the Legion open by 0800 hours. To All Topeka Area ALR and PGR Riders and welcome guests!
The PGR web-site crashed this morning and many posts are missing. This is to notify Members of Post 400 and all others wishing to make the St. Joseph Mission for bryan J. Bradbury. Assemble at Post 400 (Hwy 24 South of the Goodyear Plant in North Topeka) Parking lot is in the rear of the Post. Staging will begin at 5:am. Pre ride briefing at 5:20 Clutches out at 5:30 am sharp. Do not forget WATER, HELMET, SUN GLASSES, RAIN GEAR Or JACKET, SUN BLOCK, FULL TANK OF FUEL and YOUR FLAGS. This will be a "HOT" Mission. It would be advised to bring double the water you normally carry. I would like to Personally Thank Kai in Manhatten for doing a pre-ride and furnishing all the necessary information and directions for the ride. Kai, your Above and Beyond, "Thank You"! We will join up with the other groups from MO, NE, IOWA, KS and other at Post 359 in ST Joe. There will be additional water and a Breakfast served with a $4 donation. I would like to Thank all of you who have decided to make this ride. You makeus who we are by doing what we do with Respect and Honor.
