To clear up some confusion, Sgt Brent W. Koch is from Morton, MN. However, because the high school is larger in MORGAN, MN that is where the funeral will be.

We will be holding the final staging at the Redwood Area Community Center, 601 East Cook Street in Redwood Falls, MN and EVERYONE needs to attend the briefing at 8:10am. So plan on joining us between 7:30am and 8:00am at the Redwood Area Community Center.

Bring plenty of water and something to eat as this is going to be a long day and we need to be self-sufficient.

Thank you and ride safely

Since it is going to be such a long day, I am going to head out Sunday night and spend the night in Morton. The casino there has $39 rooms if you sign-up for a free club membership.

I’ll see you all at the assembly point

24 Jun 2006 7:57 PM Alert

*Updated* Now leaving Kasson at 4:15 am.

I plan to head out from Kasson around 4:15 am and take 14 to Waseca where I will be meeting another rider (Neal Phillips) and then on to Mankato to hopefully hook up with the Mankato riders.

My cell is 507-951-7979 if anyone is planning on riding through about that time or wants to join me or Neal and I.

See you at the staging area.

It's not neccessarily the conditions you ride in, but how much you've prepared yourself to ride safely in them that will make a difference.

Keep the rubber side down!

Today I've been getting my gear togerther for the mission tomorrow. As I constucted my flagpole, cleaned up my bike and put my small flags on it, etc., I realized that I am now part of the wake churned up by the life of this young man - his life is now affecting mine in action. And it made me stop for a moment and consider again what these young people are out there doing and risking on our behalf, and to feel a renewed and deeper sense of gratitude to Sgt. Koch and sadness for his family and friends.

Thank you to the PGR for doing what you (we) do and for giving me a way to express the pride and respect I have for these brave and selfless young men and women.
