whispanic, leeletalyaud, any others who want to ride with Master Chief out of San Antonio and the surrounding area...

Lots of posts here and easy to miss a message.

From previous post by Master Chief:

HELLO SAN ANTONIO AND SURROUNDING AREA PGR FOLKS ! ! !
All I can say for the tremendous turnout...HOOYAH ! ! ! ! !
Unless there is a date / schedule change for PFC. Tina Price's services here is wazzup from San Antonio:
STAGING / RALLY POINT: EXXON GAS STATION AT INTERSECTION OF HWY 46 AND IH10 EAST IN SEGUIN .
TIME 0715

SADDLEUP / UNDERWAY TIME 0730-0745

You can read the whole thing on page 4 (I think that was the page number).

That's a good rally point for folks like me who want to ride with everyone but don't want to double back to far.  Only about 70 miles to Smithville from there and a good place top the tank.

I hope to see you there.

Tim,

Based upon the weather report this morning, I am definitely
going to trailer-up my bike to Smithville. If you are planning to
trailer your's also -- let's try a convoy. Also, if anyone knows of
a place where we trailering-bikers can park our vehicles around
that general countryside -- please let us know.

I was thinking about paying a gas station guy to allow us to park,
but am open to other ideas.

I can meet you in Alvin Thursday morning for our trip up HW 6
to Katy. Sound like a plan?

Dave.

Sounds like a plan.  It looks like some of us will be trailering as well.  We should be through Marquez around 6 am.  Look for a burgundy Ford (3/4 or 1 ton, I'm not sure which, it's a single rear wheel) pulling a trailer.  We'll look for your Miata.  Give me a shout on the email tomorrow night and we'll finalize the details.

The weather looks a little iffy but it will not stop me.

As I listened to the weather in my comfortable home with my kids and friends, I can only think of the sacrafice this soldier has made to keep America free and allow me this privalige.

I am able to enjoy my children, grand children and friends. This soldier has given the greatest gift of all, LIFE. There will not be any children, grandchildren but only the friends up to this point in her life.

The protesters have waken the sleeping dragon and we have created a national attention to their failing cause. Their screams, hollering and brightly colored picket signs will be drowned out by our silence of reverance and respect and the waving of Old Glory.

I have seen pictures of the some of the conditions existing in war front areas and I am not going to let the weatherman stop me from showing this soldier, their family and friends the honor they are due.

This will not be the first time you have experianced a little rain. I have veiwed a lot of PGR photos taken in the rain maybe God is washing our souls for a better view.

Houston Area Riders

I did a little recon on my way to and from San Antonio today on our staging area. Due to the construction on the Katy Freeway (I-10 West) many of the overhead exit signs have been taken down and they have small exit signs posted on the ground that are hard to see. The Fry Road exit is exit number 147 past HWY 6 and before Masson road when west bound. . The exit is just past Garden Ridge Pottery. The Whataburger we are staging at is next to the Home Depot on Fry Road on the north side of I-10. Hope that helps in getting to our location. If you have a problem find the staging area call me on my cell, you all should have my number.

Looks like we will have a good size group for this mission.

I'm going to do my best to make a recon trip to Smithville Wednesday afternoon. I'll post here when I get back with details of any issues that might be pending. Central Texas riders, the meet point in the Austin area is the Denny's at E Ben White and Riverside. Be there early enough to take care of your business and be ready to saddle up by 0755 (7:55a). We'll have a short rider safety meeting prior to leaving out. As I said before, if any of you have never rode in a group or in formation before, please see me as soon as you get to Denny's so we can explain how it works. I'll be in leathers like most everyone else but I'll have my PGR armband with the Ride Captain patch and the Ride Captain ball cap (maroon).

If you're in the Austin area (and haven't gotten this by email already) and would like to ride down with the Central Texas group, email me and I'll add you to the Central/South Texas email list so I can update everyone at the same time.
I'm honored to be riding with you folks. This is going to be a proud mission for PGR Texas.

This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Mission to honor PFC. Tina Marie Priest, who gave her all in Iraq.  It is a go; all contacts have been made.

Services are Thursday , 09 Mar 2006 at 1000 hrs at the First Baptist Church, 300 Hudgins St. Smithville, TX.  Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, approximately 2 miles out of Smithville on HWY 95.

Ride Captains:  Tad Eubanks(Bearwolf) and  Joe Spelman (Master Chief) their phone numbers are Bear Wolf(512)677-1301 and Master Chief  (210)386-3979.

Weather Report: Mostly cloudy.  A 30 per cent chance of thunder showers and thunderstorms in the morning. High's in lower 80's.  Dress accordingly; Iron Horses if you can.  Bring flag poles and flags if you have them; flags on bikes would be great, but if you are in a cage, bring your big flags and any extras that you may have.

Staging Site and Time:  From 0900 to 0930 hrs at the Parking lot of the VFW .  The VFW is located on HWY 95, West (right) side of the road, before crossing the Colorado River Bridge coming from the North.

Departure : The departure time from the staging area (KSU) is approximately 0940 hrs after paper work, riders and  safety meeting.  All bikes will present a uniform appearance as we ride the short distance from the staging area to the First Baptist Church in a staggered formation.  Anyone not able to stage at the VFW should meet at the Church.

Please remember that our mission is to respect and honor the fallen soldier and her family.  Stand tall and proud as we salute this hero and her family for their greatest sacrifice.
