31 May 2006 4:29 PM Alert
Friday Rally Point updates for Dixon and Princeton.  Mike Bowman, my brother, is collecting riders at Dixon Friday morning.  They will then meet me and others in Princeton.  We want to arrive in Galesburg at 8:00 AM.  Here are the modified and final details for both RPs.

Dixon - BP truck stop at the intersection of Highway 26 and Interstate 88.  It is impossible to miss this station as you exit the interstate.  You are looking at it as you exit.  Interstate 88 is a tollway so do not forget your change or I-Pass to get off at Dixon.  Collect at the BP station so all can be out the drive at 6:00 am.  It is 30 miles to Princeton.  For fuel purposes figure 115 miles from Dixon to Galesburg.  Highway 26 from Dixon to Princeton is deer heaven.  Ride VERY alert.  I say this from personal experience.

Princeton - Road Ranger truck stop at the intersection of Highway 26 and Interstate 80.  Exit number 56.  Road Ranger is on the northeast corner.  Also impossible to miss.  Four monster US flags at that exit.  I will be at the Road Ranger by 6:00 AM.  When the Dixon group arrives they will fall into formation and we are out the drive at 6:30 AM.  For fuel purposes figure 84 miles from Princeton to Galesburg.  Princeton has lots of fast food joints for a quick breakfast if you get there early.  There is fuel at the Galesburg staging area.

Interstate rocket shot from Princeton to Galesburg.  Any questions for either RP should be directed to me to avoid confusion.  Mike actually has to work for a living and I am at my desk most of the day.

Bogie it was well worth the wet...America is just what we think it is....It is there and we saw it last night. Americans are not on Entertainment Tonight, or People Magazine.
They don't make 7 digit salaries and most have never been on the buisness end of a TV camera.---And some cant spell worth a damn either--
They are the people we saw last night and the people you will see again on Friday.
I wish I could be with you all on Friday
Caleb's family are such nice people. We all got a chance to meet them on Tuesday night before and during the ride. The Mom is terrific and so grateful, as well as concerned about our safety. The two younger boys must have been Caleb's brothers. They were great as well.
Damn maybe I'll take off again on Friday..
Vic good riding with you--you are a speed freak...I had a hell of a time keeping up with you on the way to the hotel, and I was solo..
Big Lou see ya on 6-17..
Ed get your tail lights fixed..I never want to get that close to your back door again...sheeesh..
Take care..

Riders...please stay focused and remember that anything other than honoring Caleb is a circus sideshow.  We "Ride With Respect" to honor this hero and his family.

Think today is a good time for all of us to go back once again to our Home Page and just read our mission statement one more time. Follow that (Our Mission Statement) and we (the PGR) will "Ride With Respect".

Sorry for not posting a Ride Report on our Escort Portion of the Mission. As Joe pointed out, about 50 miles outside of Chicago I lost most of my lights on the bike, at least I still had a headlight. Seems like the torrential rain that we went thru, fried a circuit board on me. Yes, the local Harley shop took care of the problem quickly for me, and the bike has lights once again.

I will Post my portion of the Report when I return back home, both Scoot and myself have stayed in town, working with some of the locals to have them join us on Friday.

Respects,
Ed

We are praying that the PGR just keeps on doing what we are best at. So far with ALL the media coverage PGR has been shown to America as being patriotic and comforting to the families of the fallen heroes. LET'S KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

If we can't be there in body, we will be there in prayer coverage. God bless the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS!!!!!!!!!
