Sgt. Mark Wall was one of my Cub Scouts and a Boy Scout who attained the rank of Eagle Scout when I was Cub master and a Boy Scout Leader. The Wall family, the town of Alden IA and our country have all been blessed with this courageous young man who was a joy to everyone he was around. My heart goes out to Art & Helen and it will be a personal honor to be part of the Patriot Guard tomorrow.

go19ia,

The riders from Council Bluffs and Eastern Nebraska will be leaving the TA at the Lake Manawa exit at 0530.  This should allow us to stop for one fuel stop before Des Moines.  Hopefully we will hit Des Moines at about 0730, we will try to be at the QT by 0730 to meet you it will be close so if we are not there by then go ahead and take off we will meet you in Alden.

Keith

I just met with the Sheriff's department in Alden and went over the logistics of their game plan.

Our local IDNR officer will be there to assist with the group crossing Co. Hwy. D20 at 9:00am.

We will have someone stay at Hoelscher Ag. to direct riders to the funeral as they show up.

I also stopped in at Holscher Ag. What great folks! They only ask we do not block their main doors. We can park to the north of the building and to the south.
Yes as was stated earilier they will have coffee and donuts along with a warm place and restrooms.

I plan to be there by 8:00am and will be looking for the Military Group and the Des Moines PGR who will be in charge.

I live in Iowa Falls so if anyone comes in tonight  or tomorrow and has questions about the area give me a call 641-373-1770

Many groups heading down it seems-I usually ride alone and fast-so it depends on what groups are riding-no flame here, just that groups tend to have a slower pace than I like to set.  I will see what the group meeting at Mickey D's at County 70 is like (the McStop, Holiday Station and McDonalds), and go from there I guess.

Okay, as a first time particpant, can someone give those of us who are new some advice on what time to arrive and where to go in Alden? I see what seems to be a lot of info being bantered back and forth about meeting up along the route, but barring all that interesting info -- where do we need to meet with everyone in Alden and at what time?

I want to show my respect for the family by not creating a disturbance. So far I have about 100 emails on this, but I am unable to find one that offers direction on staging areas or times.

Thanks,
JP3

Mixed amongst the many posts a, look for the avatars of the State Ride Captains.  They convey the official meeting places for the actual event.

please disregard my last message. Hoelscher Ag. just volunteered

Meeting place for the mission will be at the Hoelscher Ag. a farm equipment dealer across from Caseys on Hwy. 20 in Alden at 8:30. The Library was suggested at Iowa Falls but I was informed that they will be open so we don't want to interfere in any way. The Des Moines ALR will be my representatives on this mission. My sincere thanks to all who are helping out and showing support to our Fallen Hero SSgt. Mark Wall. REMEMBER, The UG's Do Not Exist !!! They Are Not Worth Our Time!!!

Thank You
This is,I believe, the last known Official Communique concerning meeting before the Funeral proper.

For leaving from the Omaha area your best bet it to meet at the TA at the Lake Manawa exit.  The group will be leaving from there around 0530.  I'll be riding over form Bellevue we will be leaving from CALS on HWY 370 and we will be leaving there at 0515.  Hope to see you at the TA.
