Good Morning Patriots, I just wanted say to the Miller family member, a very nice young lady who came up to say "Thank You" to Rock and myself for being there for the Miller family, as we had a quick bite to eat the Perkins in Willmar. "Thank You very much, it was an Honor and a Privilage to be invited to be there." When we went to leave, the waitress informed us that our bills had already been paid, by a very nice young lady who had been talking to us. Thank You again, it was very appreciated but truely not neccessary. GOD Bless You.

May GOD Bless Us All,

What a great experience and first ride with you all. Thank you to the family for inviting us, it was an honor to be able to come out and show my respect and honor for Sgt. Miller. It brought tears to my eyes to see a community come together the way all the good folks in Willmar did on Monday.

Now if we could just get the news to report things correctly, "And there were a couple dozen members of the Patriot Guard Riders there as well...". Ehh, 200, couple dozen, it's about the same right? I guess it doesn't matter, this was all about Kyle Miller, not us.

The Star Tribune listed it as 200, pretty good picture too,
Haven't found what KSTP had on it yet. I heard thier coverage was pretty good also.

And it was about Kyle Miller, God Bless him and his family.

it was a honor to take my place and stand with old glory waving in the breeze for the miller family. this was my 2nd mission and thank you bob for bringing me. i did not attend the burial service in redwood falls but i had tears in my eyes with this one. and nearly jumped out of my skin the first shot of 21 gun salute. but it was the bagpipes playing and wavering sound of train whistle blowing that had me gulping my tears back. thank you miller family and the town of willmer for inviting us.

I know this thread is belated, but there was A LOT to digest of the activities for Sgt. Miller.

I want to thank the family and friends of Sgt. Miller for including us in their day. I really hope that our presence helped just a little bit.

I'd like to thank Diane for her aid when one of our bikes malfunctioned. She's a God send to this group (PGR). Keep the prayers coming, Diane, as we have yet to have a major incident with anyone in our group.

Thank you Ariel for your vehicle as a support vehicle for those of us from the Big Lake/Monti area. You can ride (or drive) with us ANYTIME.

Thank you to KennyB13 (his 3rd Mission), Roger (his 2nd Mission), Dan H. (his 1st Mission), and Jon (his 1st Mission).

Thank you MamaGoose for allowing Alex (now known as "Little Dragonman", he's 10 years old) to attend HIS first Mission, and for allowing me to transport him from the Civic Center to the cemetery on my bike. ANY TIME I am riding solo (which is always) and he's on a Mission, I'd like to have him ride with me again.

Thank you to the residents and businesses of Willmar and Litchfield for allowing us to use their various facilities, and for showing your support to the Miller family by allowing your customers and employees the opportunity to salute one of America's unsung heroes. It's as touching to see you allow your employees to partake as to see the family's reaction.

Thank you to the Law Enforcement agencies, Fire/Rescue, and EMS. It's a comfort to know all of you are a big part of these Missions, not only in your support for the family and friends, but you are ready should anything happen during the ceremony and Mission. THANK YOU!!

You couldn't have said it better! What an honor to ride with such a great group of people and a bigger honor to be there to show our respect for a great American hero as Kyle Miller. This hero will never be forgotten.

I am submitting the following report on behalf of Kevin Peterson, the Ride Captain for this Honor Mission:
-------------------

June 10,  2006 started off for me staging in Marshall, MN with my sector.  A group of 6 bikers riding north on Highway 23 at 0600 for the mission.  The ride to Willmar was cool and the sky was clear and I was filled with many emotions.

Upon arriving in Willmar at the High School I found many riders were well ahead of the 0800 Staging time.  I saw many faces both familiar and new.  I was happy to have many Minnesota Ride Captains present- George Winslow, John Redfield, and Jim Bono to mention but a few.  We placed the incoming bikes in rows of two, getting them ready for the short drive over to the Civic Center.  The flags were taken out and the riders talked of past missions and missions on the horizon.  I met and talked with Robert Posivio, the father of Lance Crpl. Posivio who was killed in action in Iraq not 3 weeks prior to this mission.  What a unexpected honor to see him again. We had over 500 bikes for the Posivio mission and now he was riding with us to show honor for another’s fallen son.   The pre-ride briefing was held and the last minute changes discussed.  The LEO arrived and we were on our way to show the family and friends of Sgt. Miller the honor and dignity that they deserve.

Two hundred bikes wheeled over to the civic center and lined up out front with American Flags waving in the breeze with one thought on our minds, to show honor and dignity to the family and towns folk.  The Police Reserve of Willmar guided us to our spot and we dismounted.  Everyone took up guard down both sides of the doors with a quiet disposition and reverent thoughts.  We saw many "thanks” mouthed from the incoming mourners and I was pleased that no others came to show dishonor to this ceremony.

During the service we mustered around the doors and set up for the loading of the casket.  The Honor Guard came out first with the PGR members standing around the perimeter.  We all came to attention with the Honor Guard and saluted our fallen brother.

The PGR members then mounted their iron steeds and we followed the lead escort thru the town of Willmar to the Hero's resting site.  We had a short stop while the families’ bus had to be swapped for one that would start.  (You can never be ready for all that can happen at one of these).  I had a chance at this time to walk the line and see all the faces that came such a distance.  The different types that make up this group, all with the same goal--to do the right thing, always amaze me. I felt so honored to be a part of this group.  I stopped to talk with two WW II vets and the ladies with them. They were standing on the side of the street saluting us as we were passing.  I just had to give them a salute and to thank them for all they did for my family and me.  I hope that some day my children will understand what it means for someone to take up arms and defend them and their rights.  After the short stop we headed to the cemetery for the final good-bye.

We arrived, dismounted and stood at attention while the hearse and the family drove past and entered the cemetery.  We circled the mourners with flags and hearts as they said there last good-byes to Sgt. Kyle Miller.  The 21-gun salute was given, the flag was folded and presented, and bagpipes played with their unforgettable sound of sorrow.  The family, friends, and military filed past to waiting vehicles, many more thanks were given by both the Patriot Guard Riders and the mourners.  We all left with both a place left empty in our hearts knowing a true Hero is gone, and a new place in our hearts for this brother whom we will never forget.

I want to thank Sgt. Miller's family for allowing us to attend this, their most saddest of times.  May God's Grace be with you.

Thanks to Sgt. Major Simmons for helping me with setting this mission up.

Thanks to the town of Willmar.  You opened your doors and your hearts to a bunch of bikers whom you did not know.

Thanks to all the Law Enforcement Officers who helped with getting us on the same page.  We could not have done it without you.  Also thanks for protecting us on the homefront.  We take it for granted that you, as well, put your lives on the line everyday for us.

Thanks to all PGR members who took a day off of work and out of your lives to show this family, town and country that Sgt. Kyle Miller will not be forgotten, not be disrespected in any way while we stand guard.

Respectfully submitted,

Kevin Peterson
