My most sincere condolences to Sgt Garcia’s family.

This was my first time participating in a mission.  I was not fully aware of the protocol but people helped out in that regard.  I am not fully in touch with the emotions yet but I do know that I felt great pride to be able to honor Sgt Garcia as we did.  It was a very difficult experience for me yet in retrospect it pales in comparison to the service to our country and the sacrifice made by Sgt Garcia.

Again, my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Sgt Garcia.

Larry Bailey

Goodmorning!
Steve (hbiker) and Jerry (PopPop) are going over to the church early to secure parking for us, but they could use the help of one more person. If anyone can scoot over to the church this morning to assist them out that would really help out.

Thank you
Ride safe

Part Two of the mission for Sgt. Garcia is complete. 31 bikes and two cages. THANK YOU to everyone for being flexible with the changes in plans including the route. Steve, Jimmy and PopPop helped out securing parking at the church for us. Jimmy brought water. The "Cookie Lady" brought great cookies!

Thanks also to the officers and road guards who helped get us through traffic safely. Two LAPD motor units rendered honors with us at the start of the services. LongBeach Fire Dept. lined up a ladder truck, engine and a medical unit with all the firefighters at attention and saluting at the entrance to the cemetery. A Brigadier General with his aid and a civilian was at the service and asked to join in the procession behind the PGR.

Erin, if I've missed anything, chime in!

Thank you all. Until next time...

SGT Garcia,

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.
