Our hearts and prayers go out to you in this time of loss. Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 As Christ our Lord laid down His life for us that believe in Him for salvation, so your love one has laid down his life for us for our freedom. This act has made him a Super Hero in my heart and I thank-you deeply for this sacrifice made for our freedoms. I pray that God will now bless your lives and help you see how great a thing this is which your loved one has done. The FALLEN MILITARY MEMBER has shown this country their greatest love for country and friends

JR & Patti Bedford
Psalms 37:5

I suppose, in a way, this has become part of my soul. It is a symbol of my life. Whatever I have done that really matters, I've done wearing it. When the time comes, it will be in this that I journey forth. What greater honor could come to an American, and a soldier?

Ride Report for Airport Escort on 24 January 2008 for Lance Corporal James M. Gluff

Seven of us pulled out from the Waffle House in Cartersville at 0700, for the trip to Chattanooga Airport we were one short due to him being tied up in traffic behind an accident. When we arrived at the Tach Air Terminal we were greeted by Eric Johnson an employee of Tach Air and he knew who we were as he had got a heads up from Chip of our arrival and of our mission. Eric explained to us how they handle the missions at the airport, where we needed to line, up and how they protected the families at his terminal. At Tach Air when they have a Hero come home, before the plane door is opened the fire apparatus, fuel truck and other vehicles are placed so as no one out side the fence can see what is going on inside the fenced area, this is done to protect the family from media and anyone else trying to take pictures or harass them.

We were joined by two more members one from GA. and one from TN. Eric told us the Family was approaching so we set up a flag line for the family to drive through as they entered the tarmac to await our Hero's arrival.As the plane landed we moved to the area where we were to line up and waited for the time to start our escort to Dalton for Lance Corporal James M. Gluff.

We were joined by two more members, the one from GA. had made it around the accident, and another rider from TN. the line up was to be a TN. Highway Patrol, our Hero, our 4 bikes, the Family, 2 vans with Marines, our cages, then the remainder of the TN Highway Patrol.

We were lined up waiting on the procession, with the riders on the bikes to blend in as the procession went by while the members in the cages stood beside the cages at attention and saluted as our Hero passed. As we made our way out on to Hwy.153 I noticed no traffic and that is not normal for the area, as we came off the ramp there was a TN. Trooper beside his car Saluting or Hero as he passed. Behind him was the TN. DOT hero trucks with Hwy. 153 completely blocked. As we merged into I-75 the THP did an excellent job making room for us and then TN. DOT moved in and blocked all traffic behind us. The TN. Highway Patrol and the TN. DOT escorted us several miles into GA to the rest area as we entered the rest area the THP exited the procession to the left and we continued through the rest area and were picked up at the other end by GSP and Whitfield County SO. and the excellent escort continued.It was a solemn ride being the only vehicles on I-75.

As we exited I-75 in Dalton, the traffic behind us was released. Dalton PD and Whitfield County SO had the intersection blocked with officers standing beside their cars saluting out Hero.

We arrived at Love Funeral Home formed our Flag Line and were brought to attention and saluted our Hero as he was moved from the hearse to the funeral home.

After we placed our flags back in the van, we were thanked by many family members, and marines from the honor guard, including Carrie Ann and Bobby's marine Justin.

I would like to thank the Family of Lance Corporal James M. Gluff for allowing us the Honor of escorting this True American Hero from the airport. Also Mr Eric Johnson of Tach Air for his help, Chip for making contact with Tach Air, the THP and the TN. DOT. The GSP, Whitfield Co. SO, and Dalton PD. I want to thank all the members that were there to Honor Lance Corporal James M. Gluff, and his Family.

Firefighters don't choose the fires;
The Armed Forces don't choose the wars.
The alarm sounds: we go.

And then came a rumbling felt - and heard - from miles away. It was the Patriot Guard, As they rumbled away, retired Marine Col. Don Beaver, one the parade's organizers, flashed a smile.

"That," he said, "is the sound of patriotism."
