My sincere condolences to the family of this Hero. May God hold and protect those he loved and those that loved him in this time of sorrow and grant them peace and comfort.

Just got off the phone with the Air Force Academy Base Police. Just like last time, they will be picking us up as soon as we cross over I-25 and start towards the base, and will be escorting us all the way up to the Chapel. They want me to be sure and stress to everybody that the bikers will have to be sure you have all the correct gear on before you enter the base ,and make sure you put everything back on when you leave.

Bikers need to be wearing or have all of the following, Helmet, goggles or faceshield on helmet (sunglasses are not enough) long pants, long sleeve shirt, ankle covering footwear, full-fingered leather gloves, reflective vest or belt, driver's license, registration, and proof-of insurance.

Also, they are expecting us to be rolling in a few minutes after 11:00 am, so have your gear on before the mission briefing begins at 1045, because we will be rolling at 1100 SHARP

Thank you, MSgt. Gillespie, for the service you have given our country for these many years. We are not able to express in words the meaning of your selflessness. To your family, our thoughts remain now with you, and our prayers, for you. It is our wish that you find comfort in the love you hold in your hearts, and the pride we all share in your hero. God bless you.

Thank you for the mission you gave to your life in protecting our freedoms, and striving to give others, theirs. The lives of you and the men and women who have gone before you are raised high, and not given in vain. I honor you, and pray that our children will learn to do the same throughout coming generations. God bless your family, and may they keep their memories alive and rejoice in the life of a hero.

MSgt. Randy J. Gillespie,

I regret that I am unable to show my respects in person.  Your contribution and sacrifice to our country touch me deeply.  You are a true American Hero.  The thoughts and prayers of my family go out to you and yours during this most difficult time.

God Bless You!

Thank you to the Colorado PGR for a great mission. I know the second part of the mission took a long time, but it was so wrth it to wait and be there when the family exited the Chapel. They wanted me to be sure tell all of you thank you so much for standing for them in their time of loss. They were so thrilled when I gave them the PGR Challenge Coin, and the special 'Thank You' dog tags. (Thanks Mary). Louann and the Arizona PGR, the family asked me to again tell you all how great a job you guys also did. They will never forget the Patriot Guard Riders.

I also want to thank Bruce Comins, a PGR member from New Jersey who just happened to be at the Air Force Academy on vacation, and introduced himself and joined us in the flag line. Also, thank you to the Boy Scout troop that also grabbed flags and jumped in line with us.
